Lighting System: Electronic Theatre Controls

Project Scope:

Near North District School Board employed Field Service .CA as consultant to impliment a new lighting design. The Field Concepts .CA design team produced a versitile tender package and system specifications for the school board. F. J. McElligott High School features a small existing gym stage space. Field Service .CA performed signification acoustic treatments to dramatically reduce ambient sound levels. We extended the existing stage platform from 20 to 30 feet with a Staging Concepts riser system and installed a new manual operation winch mounted LX system for the front-of-house lighting position. We also designed and commissioned a new hybrid lighting system with a mix of conventional tungsten halogen luminaires with ETC’s new Source Four Jr. luminairies (with on board back dimmers) and ETC LED Seledor Desire luminairies. No dimmer racks were required due to new luminairie technologies employed. Network (ethernet) data distribution was also included.
