HYATT REGENCY VANCOUVER
Lighting System: Electronic Theatre Controls
System Designer: Wayne Korhonen
Project Scope:
Field Service .CA has been working with the Hyatt Regency Hotel Vancouver for over 10 years. All of the major meeting and convention spaces feature a ETC Unison dimming system controlling the general lighting, as well as the Mosaic Restaurant, Lounge, Starbucks, and the signature LED Lobby Water Feature. The latest project completed was the addition of contact closure interfaces to each of the five separate lighting systems to allow each to be integrated with the building management system for energy savings. Field Service .CA was contracted to complete the programming and integration of the new hardware for this project.
Notable Features:
Due to the complexity of the ballroom lighting systems, a unique feature of monitoring station activity and warning the occupants before turning out the lighting was employed. The building management system runs the energy saving schedule conserving power by shutting down HVAC and lighting systems during nonevent hours. The custom macros programmed by Field Service .CA allows for the unoccupied spaces to still have lighting control functions, but ensures that after a reasonable time with no occupancy the lighting returns to an energy saving state.
