Project Scope:

Along with our project partners Distribulite and CM & Associates, we worked with Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) operations team to design and deploy an upgrade to lighting systems which control not only the 30+ meeting rooms but the larger ballrooms halls F and G. The systems required integration with the existing dimming and control systems yet provide an up-to-date and sustainable solution to the Centre’s rigorous event schedule.

Notable Features

The upgrades in the lighting system located in the south building consist of an ETC Paradigm Central Processing System which integrates all seven paradigm sub-systems into a full building LMS (Lighting Management System) solution. The use of a VTS (Virtual Touch Panel) allows both operations in building security, immediate access to lighting controls building wide as well as through the use of occupancy centers, live vacancy states can be indicated for integration with building HVAC and security systems. The control system includes low voltage switching, high voltage relay panels, DMX emergency distribution, and emergency egress lighting. Pictorial navigation menus allow the end users to quickly navigate the lighting controls without having prior knowledge of the control system.
