Project Scope:

The St. Francis de Sales project is the restoration of a historic church to revitalize and transform it into a community theatre and public space. Field Service .CA was involved with the A/V technical design and integration with the Performance Lighting, Rigging, Audio and Video for this project. We worked with the AECOM architect and engineering firm and the Town of Ajax to facilitate a multi-purpose space capable of presenting a range of local theatre performances and community dining events to movie screenings and training seminars.

Notable Features:

To facilitate the town’s request for the venue to not only be a home for local production but also to be a rental venue for community use, the design of a unique lighting and audio system to be operated without a technician present was required. This was accomplished with the integration of digital signal processors in both the lighting and audio systems to allow the end user to gain simple access to pre-recorded lighting and audio presets. The flexibility of a performance network design was incorporated to allow for the future expansion and deployment of any developing A/V technologies.
